Reszo Seress and Marilyn Manson have what in common? Well, both of them compose death song. As some of you didn't know that Reszo Seress composed a song entitled, Gloomy Sunday and it is a notorius "Hungarian Suicide Song" in 1933. This song is a cursed song where it causes many suicidal back in those days.
As for Marilyn Manson, he also composed many song and one of the song really attract me is Suicide is Painless.

Through early morning fog I seeBasically I am not promoting suicidal here, but just to do comparison two different type of lyrics writing between two different composer at two different era. As you can see, Reszo writing is indirectly expressing about death as for Marilyn Manson's lyric is more directly talking about death. But both of them is expressing in a different matter as Reszo expressing his feeling after his break up with his girlfriend but Manson is more talking about the feeling of some going to take his/her own life. That is the difference that I can see.
