Today I received a forwarded e-mail and I took a minute to read it. The content goes like this...
Somehow the story above makes me thinking more deeper as I am thinking the things that I owned, every friends and fellow bloggers that I know, the job I have , the person I love and most important the thing, my family.
As every story there is always is a moral value and for the story above........
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father.
The son answered:
"I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight.
We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our foo d, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, "Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are."
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

good short story, but i think this story's morale is more on we have to use different angle to look on everything?
anyway, still got morale of appreciate things tho.yes, appreciate everything,so that 1 day when u suddenly just a minutes left,u will not regret, dont u think so?
count your blessings.
JW: As you can see, we all have our own view on the story and I am glad that you do share your opinion here.. what you said on the last sentence reminds me of Julian, I did really regret that I do not pay much attention on him while still around till the day I received the news that he passed away in car accident..
nyonyapenang: blessings also need to be appreciated... ;)
Honestly,I think about Julian like u do when I wrote the last sentence. He is the 1st friend of mine who already passed away and he is always rembered in my mind.
But you dont have to regret to urself, you have to understand that this is his destiny,he make it for the 1st time but he dont for the second time, its not your fault. You should remember him deeply in your heart as your best friend but not the biggest regret in your life.
appreciated already!
JW: true true..~
