It's a week now since the company trip to Hainan Island, China. Hainan Island is the home island to my grandparents as my grandfather is from that particular island for the past 60 years. Now as the second generation in Malaysia, I was back there for the very first time. My parents went back there last year and this year is my turn to flown back there to take a look how was it like the environment and living lifestyles of the Hainanese.
Below here is the itinerary of my trip:-
Day 01
Kuala Lumpur / Haikou
Place Visited:
- Qiong Tai Cultural Centre
- The Five Officials Shrine
- Xiuying Fortress
- Tomb of Hai Rui
- Wanly Garden
Day 02
Haikou / Xinglong
Place Visited:
- Wanquan River
- Nongjiale
- The Mineral Museum
Day 03
Xinglong / Sanya
Place Visited:
- Miao Minority Village
- Deer Turning It's Head Park
- Dadonghai Resort
Day 04
Sanya
Place Visited:
- Nanshan Temple
- Tianya Haijiao (The End of the Earth)
- Tea Making Ritual
Day 05
Sanya / Haikou / Kuala Lumpur
Place Visited:
- Pearl Museum
- Hainan Local Product Centre
Basically above is the places that I went with the tour. Most of the place are for us to sight seeing and we took lots of pictures. Nothing much to talk about the wheather is Hainan as it is hot and humidity is high. Somehow I felt that it is much hotter compare to Malaysia and not raining since the day we arrived at the island. The time to aboard to Hainan was a suffering period of time as our flight departed at 4am and we spent more that 2hours at the airport. As I can't help to kill the time by having a cup of coffee with my colleagues at the McD.
Food in Hainan is typically non-Halal and we had to swallow about 10 different dishes everyday and most of the dishes is the similiar for the past 5days in Hainan. Suffering and crave for more spicy food as the Chinese there love to cook with oily stuff.
There is nothing for me to explain about the trip as some of the photos below can tell the whole story. There more pictures uploaded into my Flickr account to tell you more about my trip.
