Film Highlights: Ditto My Tutor Friend
Kim Ha-neul is both a TV and a film actress, fleeting between the two. In 1998 she made her film debut in Bye Jun, following up in 1999 with Dr.K, a fairly poor, lo budget horror. Her career took off in 2000 when she appeared in Ditto, it was well recieved for having an interesting story and great performances.2003 saw her star in My Tutor Friend, performing well enough at the box office and proving to be a hit with the romantic/comedy crowd. It didn't break any new ground but it was fun. Her portrayal as a young woman, frustratingly trying to teach English to a foul mouthed young student was very entertaining, showing her funny and emotional side.Her next project was An Extra Class - sounds familiar, the verdict is still out on that one.
